The garden lays resting under a blanket of snow
the stakes are pulled, the wire is rolled
the untilled row of green high above the white
the bulbs now await the warmth of the spring sun

We had an extremely dry year and alot of the garden just didn't grow, it fried.  As we are limited in the amount of water we choose to put on the garden, most didn't get watered.  We did have a fantastic crop of tomatoes this year, as they did get watered, radishes and of course carrots.  Without water we also had an excellent crop of potatoes and beets.  As well as the swiss chard which is now overgrown and will make excellent winter bunny food.
